About
Green Swamp Herpetological LLC was formed in 2013 by Russell Lawson Jr. after having kept and bred several different species of reptiles since 2002. Our current focus is primarily on boas and pythons, but we plan to expand the collection to include several other species of reptiles in the future including Cyclura iguanas, tortoises, and monitor lizards. Our goal is to produce the highest quality examples of the animals we work with. We also strive to provide education about the animals we sell and work with, as well as our local herpetofauna. We are happy to help share information on captive husbandry, natural history, and genetics and other biology topics to our customers and other inquiring individuals.
Store Policy
Animals are guaranteed live on arrival, healthy, and properly sexed. Having worked with ball pythons for over two decades, we have significant experience identifying the phenotypes present in hatchlings. Due to the increasing difficulty of identifying the phenotypes of animals when working with multiple incomplete dominant mutations, we cannot completely guarantee genetics in some of these instances. In situations where it is difficult to determine the exact combo, we seek other opinions from several breeders. We always put forth the best possible effort in positively identifying the exact morphs present, and lean on the side of caution if necessary. All recessive mutations are guaranteed to be as stated. If there is any issue with the animal you receive, contact us immediately upon receipt, and we will do everything we can to make it right.

We may hold an animal at our discretion with a 20% deposit, with the balance due in 30 days. Any payments toward the purchase of an animal are nonrefundable. In the event you are unable to complete a payment plan, any deposits made may be credited toward the purchase of another animal within 30 days of the original due date.
We are located in Florida, and ship overnight anywhere in the US via ship via FedEx through Ship Your Reptiles. I am willing to meet up for purchases in south Lake County. Shipping days are Tuesday & Wednesday each week.
In accordance with Redline Shipping's recommendations, we are shipping exclusively to your nearest FedEx Ship Center for pickup. If this is impossible for you, we may consider accommodations in extremely limited circumstances. Any "Free Shipping" listings are for shipments to FedEx Ship Center. An extra fee will be calculated for any orders that have to be shipped to a residence.
For live arrival guarantee, someone must be present to receive any animal shipped to a residence or business, or the animal must be picked up within 2 hours of the package being released for pickup. Live arrival guarantee will be void in the event of an incorrect or incomplete address. For the safety of the animals, we will only ship if the low is above 40 degrees F and the high is below 90 degrees F at both locations (we may consider hub shipments below 100 degrees F). If it is too cold or too warm to ship, we are happy to hold any purchased animals until temperatures are ideal.
