Kingsnakes and Milk Snakes are new top-level categories, while the remainder of Colubrids will begin in the Other Colubrids category. These include Bullsnakes, Coachwhips, Garter Snakes, Gopher Snakes, House snakes, Indigo Snakes, Pine Snakes, Rat Snakes, Ribbon Snakes, Water Snakes, Tricolor Hognose and more.
Other Colubrids is similar to our "Other" categories for Pythons and Boas. It's organized by subcategory rather than by genetics. As their popularity grows, they can be promoted to top-level categories with genetics support. In the meantime, we plan to add more subcategories to fill out the numerous Rat Snake varieties and such.
This is exciting because we've been getting requests for more colubrids all year. They are beautiful and approachable to reptile lovers of all experience levels.
Today's launch brings our top-level category count to 15! We know that some of you are wondering, what's next? When will we add that other species which you are most excited about?
- The last remaining top-level snake category we have staged is Rainbow Boas. If you sell these or have a favorite breeder of Rainbow boas, will you encourage them to go on MorphMarket and list their Rainbows today? Here's an invitation you can use. We have this area staged and want to launch it soon.
- Next, we are going to work on Geckos and Lizards, starting with Bearded Dragons. Beardies are also staged currently so sellers can list their dragons today. Here's an invitation. We hope all of these Gecko and Lizard areas will be opened up in 2018, and maybe more.
