Wholesale Listings

The ability to buy and sell wholesale animals is now live!

Starting today, approved sellers with a paid membership can view, buy, and sell wholesale animals.

This new feature opens up new opportunities for you to expand your business and reach a wider audience. While participation is not mandatory, we highly recommend exploring the wholesale option. By participating in wholesale, you can increase your visibility on the platform and attract bulk buyers who are ready to make significant purchases.

Sellers have the ability to set their own default wholesale store policy.

To locate wholesale listings, use the "Wholesale" tab under your desired category or click on the "Wholesale" check box in the filters. The wholesale pricing will also be listed on the individual animal listing page.

Animals at Expos

Now you can find animals that will be available for purchase or pickup at expos!

Reptile expos are a crucial part of the hobby. They attract many new enthusiasts and boost sales for breeders. We recognize their immense value to all of us. That's why MorphMarket is taking expo support to the next level.

On our expos page, you can find upcoming shows and the vendors participating in them.

With our newest feature:

  • Sellers can now tag the animals they'll have available for purchase at a specific expo (on the new edit animal page).
  • Buyers can easily view these animals in search using the filter "Expo Pickup," enabling pre-sales.

Buyers can inquire about an animal beforehand and arrange for pickup at the expo. This makes the whole process straightforward and hassle-free.

New Sales Feature!

We are excited to announce the release of a long-awaited feature. Animals can now be listed on sale!

Animals that are on sale will have a sale price listed in red. You can now filter to see all available animals on sale. To do so, select your category of choice. Click the "on-sale" box in the filter section below "price." You can also select the "Deals" tab at the top of the category page.

How Sales Work:

  • An animal can be put on sale only once per ad listing cycle.

  • Sales will be active for 72 hours per listing but can be manually disabled before then.

  • Sales can be activated once per an ad’s listing cycle. Once you renew your ad after a few weeks, you can run it on sale again.

  • Sellers can activate a sale on one, several, or all of your listings at once, depending on what kind of sale you’d like to have.

  • The price must be lower than the original animal price.

  • The price must accurately reflect what you are willing to sell the animal for and not a “fake price” tactic to garner inquiries.

  • Bulk Actions to activate sales are now available!

We limit how often you can run an animal on sale because otherwise, some folks might run all their animals “on sale” all the time, and the feature would lose value. We may create more options for how sales can be run in the future.

Last update on .

We've made an update to how the system automatically renews ads. Now, it will continually renew older ads instead of doing so in very large batches causing certain ads to get buried very quickly.

When ads are renewed, they jump to the front of applicable user searches. Listings are eligible for renewal every several weeks depending on a seller's plan level. This helps give more attention to older listings that are still available.

Listings have always been automatically renewed for sellers with a Standard Membership or higher, unless they have disabled this feature. In the past, auto-renewals for all eligible listings took place each night at a single time. This led to thousands of ads being renewed at once leading to an inferior browsing experience, with pages and pages of ads jumping to the front at the same time.

With this update, automatic renewals now continually occur throughout the day. Generally, listings will be auto-renewed at the same time of day when they were first listed (for new listings from this point onward). Also, sellers with auto-renewal are unlikely to see their ads ever show up as eligible for renewal since they should be auto-renewed very quickly.

Slight changes were made to bulk import as well. When new listings are bulk imported or bulk listed for the first time, they are now scheduled at times throughout the day. The system will try to schedule them a few minutes apart, but over a period that will not exceed 24 hours.
