History
Originally Hypos were called “Orangetails”.
These originated from Central America and were produced by Rick Ihle from his original Hypo female Central American, not the Salmon line. These Hypos are 100% Central American with no Colombian influence. [1]
Appearance
Body
The body of a Hypo Boa Constrictor has a reduction in black pigmentation and patterning, with the tiny black flecks of melanin are missing, resulting in an overall paler animal. The black margins normally around the dark pattern are absent or greatly reduced. [2]
Tail
Dark pigmentation around the red blotches on the posterior body and tail have heavily reduced.
