The regular IJ pattern is no longer visible but broken into reams of individually pigmented scales that reminds of granite rocks. Especially when recombined with other morphs, Granites are very popular amongst Carpet Python enthusiasts. Granite Jaguars, just to mention one example, show a surprisingly large reduction of the dark pigmentation and have a solid yellow basic color, broken by black or brown spots. [2]
