About
Axanthic is a crested gecko that is unable to create yellow pigment. Yellow pigment usually makes the tails of a gecko cream colour. Geckos such as this display only black, blue, white, grey and silver colouring. [1]
This is where the Xanthophore layer is being affected, the animal is lacking yellow and/or red pigmentation and in some cases completely lack xanthophores. [2]
