Putting an animal on hold:

To place an animal on hold requires a 20% down, non-refundable deposit. Once a deposit is placed, you have 1 day (24 hours) to either pay off the animal on hold or arrange a payment plan. If you do not place a deposit to hold an animal, there is no guarantee that animal will remain available, and it can be sold at any time.

Payments and Payment Plans:

Preferred payment options are wire or Zelle. Secondary would be Cash App or Venmo. Lastly would be PayPal, although we do accept this payment with an additional 3% to cover fees.

We do offer payment plans. Any animal over $500.00 must be paid off within 90 days unless otherwise discussed and arranged. Any animal under $500.00 please message or call us to discuss options. Since we do offer payment plans, we must have at least 33% of the remaining balance paid for each month of the 90 day term unless otherwise discussed and arranged. We understand things do come up on occasion, just keep us in the loop and we can discuss how we can continue the purchase. If the payment plan isn't completed in the agreed upon timeframe and you are not keeping us in the loop/further arrangements made and agreed upon, all payments sent are final. Also, we do not guarantee tails to be intact during the hold or shipment. As much caution as can be taken, tail drops do happen. Tails are aesthetic and they don’t need a tail to have a normal life. We will not refund or discount any animal for tail drops while in our care during payment plan period or during shipping.

Shipping:

Shipping is offered via FedEx priority overnight through Reptiles2you and are only guaranteed being shipped to a hub and picked up same day within a one-hour window of the box being available for pick-up. Shipping to a hub is a safety measure that ensures the animal does not run the risk of any shipping mishaps (sitting in a truck and getting tossed around, delays, boxes dropped off and sitting in the heat, delivery to the wrong address, etc.). The hub locations are temperature controlled and much less stressful on the animal. We only ship on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and ship around 6-7 p.m. central time to ensure the animal does not have to be in a box or in transit any longer than needed. We will reach out the day of shipping to confirm shipping is still good on both ends. Once confirmation is made, a label will be created with a tracking number which will be provided for tracking your package. FedEx hubs require ID, so please make sure the name you give matches the name of whoever is picking up the box. Shipping will only occur when it is safe to do so. Safety is our first concern. Waiting to ship and holding may be done if needed till it is safe to do so. Holidays may also impact shipping. We will not ship on major holidays that could delay a package and also operate on the advisement of Reptiles2you.

(LAG) Live Arrival Guarantee:

If the animal is (DOA) dead on arrival (This has never happened to us but needs to be stated.) please inform us immediately and send photos/video. We will make things right and replace the animal with an animal at the caliber of the purchased animal or better and ship for free, or a refund may be given. For DOA cases, an animal must be put into their cage/enclosure within one hour of picking up from the hub. Once picked up from the hub we do not offer DOA guarantee if the cause of death appears to have been caused by you (ex. AC or Heat kills the animal on the way home, run in a store and leave the animal in the car, direct sunlight causing overheating, etc.). There are too many factors that can happen from the hub to your home. You must contact us within the one hour of pickup or LAG and the health guarantee are void.

Local Pickup:

No additional LAG is needed on pickups as the animal is in hand, but the health guarantee will still be active (see below).


Health Guarantee:

We offer a health guarantee for four days from the delivery date on all animals. If the animal dies within the 4-day period, we will ask you to take the animal in for a necropsy. Place the animal in a zip lock bag or something similar and put it in the fridge, NOT THE FREEZER, until you are able to take it to a vet. If the results show the cause of death is something that wasn't based on your care or actions, we will replace the animal with an animal at the caliber of the purchased animal or better and ship for free, or a refund may be given.

This being said, shipping can cause a ton of stress on an animal, as can being in a new environment and being handled. To ensure your new animal has the best transition, try to keep handling to a minimum as they acclimate.

As stated in the shipping and LAG terms above, the four-day health guarantee is not valid if we are not contacted within one hour of arrival time for home delivery or 1 hour of arrival time at hub.

Overseas Shipments/Exports:

Payments are preferred to be received via wire transfer, although we may after discussion take another form of payment. We will ship or drop off to the exporter once it is safe to do so on both ends. We offer live guaranteed arrival to the U.S. based exporter only. After that, the animal is out of our hands. We cannot control what happens or the care that is provided by the 3rd party service. If an animal arrives to the exporter deceased, we need to be contacted within one hour of arrival to the hub location or their facility. We will not be offering any refunds after this one-hour time frame. We also do not guarantee tails on crested geckos.
