ARRIVAL GUARANTEE
All animals are guaranteed to arrive to your local hub location healthy and properly sexed. Animals that have been shipped are at a minimum of 100g, have eaten 5 consecutive meals, and are free of ailments. Animals will be properly packed and as described in their add. Photos of animals will be the closest to an accurate representation of the in-person view as possible. Pictures of animals will be taken on a neutral background, either next to an open window or outdoors, with an iphone camera (I do not claim to be a great photographer, but I do my best to accurately represent my animals.) Please understand that if an animal is being held before shipping for an extended period of time and has gone through several shed cycles, the appearance may change. Updated photos will be provided upon customer request.
GENETICS GUARANTEE – HETEROZYGOUS RECESSIVE GENES
Animals that are sold as het/100% het are indefinitely guaranteed to carry one copy of the recessive gene specified and will have been produced from a visual recessive parent. This guarantee will follow the animal for its’ lifetime, in the event you decide to sell it. Every animal will have a unique ID number that will allow myself and the animals’ owner to identify the pairing that produced it for any future reference. Animals that are sold as 66% het or 50% het will not be guaranteed to carry the specified recessive gene, as they will not have been produced from a visual recessive parent. A 66% het animal will have been produced from two heterozygous parents, and a 50% het will have been produced from one heterozygous parent.
GENETICS GUARANTEE – NON-RECESSIVE GENES THEORETICAL ID
As our knowledge and collections of these animals grows, so does our ability to create multiple gene animals with greater visual complexity. Everglades Exotics will always promote an animals’ genetics as the best educated guess applicable. However, when speaking of animals with 3, 4, 5, or more genes stacked, breeding the animal is sometimes the best way to know exactly which genetic components are involved. Through breeding trials, the genetics of an animal may prove to be different that what that animal was purchased as. This could come in the form of an extra gene that was not distinguishable or the lacking of a gene that was originally thought to be present. Pairings are often included in animal add descriptions for this reason and will be available for reference for the lifetime of the animal, provided the owner keeps the assigned ID number. As always, I will do my absolute best to properly identify the genes present in every animal and will never intentionally mislabel genetics. It is understood that there is a small margin for error when creating new and exciting combinations. By purchasing an animal from Everglades Exotics, the customer agrees with the genetic identification provided by Everglades Exotics.
PRICING and PAYMENT OPTIONS
Everglades Exotics will honor any currently listed price on an animal. In the event an animal matures, proves additional genetics, or otherwise gains perceived value, Everglades Exotics retains the right to adjust prices accordingly or relist an animal for a different price at any time. As our market fluctuates, so does the value of our animals.
At this time, Everglades Exotics accepts the following forms of payment: Square, Zelle, Cashapp, personal check, cashiers check, money order, or cash. Personal checks, cashiers checks, and money orders will be held until cleared (usually within 7 days.)
PAYMENT PLANS
Payment plans are available on purchases of $500 or more with an initial 25% non-refundable deposit. Payment plans generally span 30 days, unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon by Everglades Exotics and the customer. An agreed on due date for full payment will be set between the customer and Everglades Exotics. After the initial non-refundable deposit is received, the animal will be marked as “held” and will be maintained with appropriate feed and husbandry for the duration of the payment plan at no extra charge to the customer. In the event a customer is unable to complete the payment plan, all monies paid will be forfeited to Everglades Exotics and the animal may be relisted as seen fit by Everglades Exotics. Failure to pay in full by the agreed upon completion date will result in termination of the payment plan and loss of all monies paid. Animals must be paid in full prior to shipping.
SHIPPING
Everglades Exotics will only ship hub to hub via FedEx overnight. If you are unsure of the address of your nearest FedEx hub, Everglades Exotics will provide it to you. Home deliveries are not available at this time unless presented with exigent circumstances. Animals must be picked up within 4 hours of hub delivery to maintain Arrival Guarantee. Live arrival is guaranteed on your reptile purchases, provided the outdoor temperatures are above 40 degrees Fahrenheit and below 85 degrees Fahrenheit at all stops during shipping. In the event an animal arrives DOA, Everglades Exotics must be notified within one hour of the timestamp noting the time the animal was picked up from the FedEx hub. The animal will either be replaced with one of equal value or, if preferred, the customer will be issued a credit for the full purchase amount. All animals will be properly packed and marked in accordance with standing shipping regulations. Customers will be provided with a tracking number and will be able to pick up their animal once delivered to their local hub. A photo ID is required to claim a package from FedEx.
RETURNS
I do everything within my power to ensure my customers are completely satisfied with the animals they receive. If you are not happy with the animal you purchase, you must notify Everglades Exotics within 12 hours of the reported FedEx hub drop-off time. Returned animals must be received 100% healthy and be shipped back to Everglades Exotics at the earliest possible shipping day. The customer will be granted a credit for 75% of the purchase price of the animal. Upon return arrival, the animal will be held in quarantine for up to 30 days to ensure it is healthy before the reimbursement credit may be applied. It is the customers’ responsibility to properly care for, house, and feed the animal they purchase. If a lack of proper husbandry is deemed the issue, Everglades Exotics reserves the right to terminate the return credit transaction. Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
