About

My name is Keith and have always been fascinated with wild life and nature from watching discovery and national geographic shows to picking out a different animal Zoobook every week in school on library day. To early days of herping in my neighborhood before knowing what herping was catching mainly alligator lizards when I lived in Long Beach and San Diego, CA. Also catching spiders and insects.Moved to Texas for about two years and kept up the same but now catching garter snakes by the dozen, toads, baby alligator snapping turtles, jumping and wolf spiders got a little older moved back to Long Beach, CA. Started doing a lots of fishing. I kind of got away from reptiles going into high school but kept aquarium fish (mainly South American cichlids) and dogs. But as adults in about 2007 my cousin came to my house after going to a reptile expo with a hypo bearded dragon that he named French tip he allowed me to hold him and the next day I went and bought one from a local breeder and I was hooked withing the next 2 months I had 3 bearded dragons 2.1. I had Breanna, Spike and Rex. I had them for about a year and a half and was keeping them in a big fish tank that I had lost all my fish in a move so I had sitting so I made it into three section using the light deflector that I used to seperate breeding fish when they became to aggressive and one day spike got over to Breanna side and they were mating. I didnt think they would be capable of breeding for another year but Spike had other plans. Breanna became gravid and I scramble to figure things out I have no incubator or have never incubated anything so I get online and read. Find out eggs need to stay humid and warm. I made a makeshift incubator from a storage bin,dog bowl, human heat pad, sand from when I had fish and thermometer from the fish tank. Breanna laid 16 eggs and I hatched out 16 babies on my first try and I knew spike was het hypo but didn't really know how that worked and I got Breanna from petco so didnt know her genetics but I got hypo babies they were both proved het hypo so neither had clear nails but they made babies similar to French tip the dragon who my cousin brought over and started the bug but they were more orange with blue barring French tip was more yellow. So after thay I just do as much reading on online forums as I could to learn about genetics then start slowly getting more and more reptiles first a bunch of dragons then I have owned and bred ball pythons, pictus geckos, crested geckos, Occelated Uromastyx, jeweled Lacerta, red ackie monitors. So dragons got me into breeding but just like the little kid that would catch everything that he can get his hands on im still that kid looking to see what else I can get, now im more capable to learn proper care and how to reproduce different species. My company is Genetically Modified Dragons but I breed multiple species, I try and teach genetics and the way I do things through my youtube channel and also show when I get new animals, the triumphs and struggles. Im here to help in anyway I can and do my best to provide the best Captive bred animals that I can.
