We, Joe and Daniel, are two passionate hobbyists who have nearly twenty years of gecko-breeding experience between us. We are committed to producing high quality geckos and have heavily invested in quality animals from the best lineage in the hobby. We consider gecko care a science, and are always working to ensure that our geckos are as healthy as possible. Store Policy
Payment
We accept PayPal and cash transactions only. This means no checks, no exceptions. At reptile expos, we will accept credit or debit card payments, but online transactions are to be fulfilled exclusively through PayPal. Customers need not create a PayPal account to make a payment to PCG. If a customer does not have a preexisting account, and does not wish to create one, we only need a personal email in order to send a payment request through PayPal’s guest-checkout service. All payments are registered under "Goods and Services" in order to ensure that our customers have full PayPal buyer protections.
Payment Plans
PCG offers extended payment plans on geckos listed for over $100. In order to initiate a payment plan on a gecko, reach out to us and we will arrange specific details. In order to initiate a payment plan, you must make a nonrefundable deposit of $50 or 25% of your purchase, whichever is higher, and completely pay off the balance due within three months (90 days) of the initial payment. For each month (30 days) that passes between your down payment and repaying the balance in full, you will incur a $10 holding fee, beginning exactly 30 days after your down payment has been placed. As it is incurred, this holding fee will be added to the balance owed until the date of full repayment. If you fail to pay off your full balance, including holding fees, within three months of your initial deposit, this deposit, along with all other payments put down on the gecko, will not be refunded.
Once full payment has been made, we will work with you to arrange a shipping date for your gecko. Once we have received full payment, we will hold the gecko at no extra charge until weather permits shipping.
Arranging a Local Pickup
Please note that Pacific Crest Gecko is an exclusively online business, and does not have a storefront. This being said, customers may arrange a local pickup as opposed to a shipment if they so please, thereby avoiding the $55 flat rate shipping fee. We will work around your schedule to arrange pickup as best we can if this is the case.
Shipping
Our shipment dates are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Customers may request shipping on any of these days unless circumstantial obstacles arise (i.e. storms, bad weather, etc.). Pacific Crest Gecko ships overnight to 49 states (Hawaii not included) for a flat rate of $55, and packages will typically arrive at your home before 10:30 the morning after your requested shipping date. For example, if you request a Wednesday shipping date, your package will arrive Thursday. We will remind customers of this at the time of shipment. Customers will be provided a FedEx tracking number, and will receive email updates through Ship Your Reptiles upon request. A customer must schedule a shipment day at least three days in advance, and a request is not considered complete until we have received all necessary shipping information. Required shipping information includes full name, home address, five digit zip code, phone number, email address, and predicted daytime high temperature at the location of delivery. Pacific Crest Gecko will not ship any geckos until full payment is received. For customers in Canada, please reach out to us for a shipping quote.
NOTE: SHIPMENTS REQUIRING A HEAT PACK ARE $85 FLAT RATE DUE TO LARGER BOX SIZE REQUIREMENTS UNLESS CUSTOMERS ARE WILLING TO WAIT FOR WARMER CONDITIONS.
Live Arrival
Pacific Crest Gecko insures live arrival of your crested gecko so long as daytime high temperatures on both ends of the shipment are between 67F-85F. Our first priority is to minimize stress during the shipping process in order to ensure safe, on-time arrival, and we will not ship an order unless weather permits. In the extremely rare case that a gecko is found to be dead on arrival, customers must contact us within 24 hours of the delivery in order to resolve the issue. NOTE: we will not assume any responsibility for live, healthy arrival unless the customer is home to personally receive the delivery.
Pacific Crest Gecko guarantees that all geckos that we ship are healthy at the time of shipment. As such, we do not extend a period of health guarantee, as there are so many factors that affect a gecko’s health that occur on the customer’s end, and we cannot possibly quantify all of these possibilities.
