Animals made available from our facility are SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) for Serpentoviruses (Snake Nidoviruses) and Ophionyssus natricis (Snake mites). Testing for Serpentovirus within 2 days of receipt, when the animal is mildly stressed after shipping is also when virus is most likely to be shed in the highest titters allowing for accurate detection on a positive test. Given the high viral diversity and prevalence of serpentoviruses, our guarantee of negative tests can only be made available for snakes sampled in this 2-day window of receipt, tested through a trusted diagnostic lab agreed upon by both parties prior to purchase if guarantee of a negative test is desired. Otherwise, please enjoy your snake from one of the most Bio-secure and heavily tested python colonies in the world!
