Terms of Purchase & Guarantees
When you purchase an animal from us, you are automatically agreeing to all the terms and conditions of doing business with us. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding these terms and conditions. *Failure to read our terms and conditions will under no circumstances be a reason to consider them altered or void*
Second Skin Reptiles has the right to refuse a sale to anyone, for any reason. Terms and conditions are subject to change as we deem necessary.
Live Arrival Guaranteed
We guarantee that our animals will arrive alive and healthy. For this guarantee we require that someone must be home to accept the package on the FIRST delivery attempt. Temperatures have to be safe for the animal/s to be shipped. If these requirements are not meet the guarantee is null and void.
In the very rare case of a DOA (dead on arrival) or unhealthy arrival you must notify us within 30 minutes of receipt from the recorded time of the delivery. In this event, photographs are required of the deceased animal and packaging. Do not throw away or dispose of original packaging or of the deceased animal, until we have been contacted and have received all the requested/ required information and have given the okay to do so. (Just remember to keep in mind that shipping and change of environment can be very stressful on an animal so it may take time for them to acclimate to their new surroundings.)
If being held for pickup at a FedEx hub animals must be picked up the same day they arrive or the live arrival guarantee will be null and void. If picked up and animal is DOA or unhealthy we must be notified within 30 minutes upon recorded pick up of package. Again we will need pictures of diseased animal and original packaging. If any of this is not met the live arrival guarantee will be null and void.
Second Skin Reptiles will not be held responsible for the replacing the animal, or refunding any money, if the above stipulations are not met.
If everything meets the terms of the live arrival guarantee you can choose to be refunded in full (except for shipping) or choose another animal of equal value. If alternate animal is of more value customer will need to pay the difference. If of lesser value the difference will be store credited that has to be used in a year from that date.
PayPal:
PayPal is one of the most secure ways to make payments with a credit/debit card. It is quick, easy and you are not required to have a PayPal account to make a payment. PayPal also helps protect you as the buyer and us as the seller. I will sent an invoice through PayPal that will be a receipt of the sale. You will be able to pay through that Invoice.
Payment Plans:
Payment plans are available on animals over $300 with a 25% or more non-refundable deposit and must be paid in full in two weeks from first deposit. Payment plans over $750 must be adhered to exactly as agreed upon up front. Payments made, both as deposits and installments, are non-refundable. Broken payment plan agreements will not be issued any refunds or store credit, regardless of the reason given. We need to be absolutely certain that an animal is spoken for once it is marked sold. Please make sure you understand that payments made in a payment plan will not be refunded.
Live Animal Shipping Terms
We ship using FedEx priority overnight shipping. We only ship Monday through Wednesday excluding holidays, so that your package does not get stuck at FedEx over the weekend. We only guarantee live arrival when temperatures are safe for the animal, such as; 40F to 85F for geckos, 40F to 90F for snakes, and 40F to 95F for bearded dragons. For the animals safe shipping temperatures will be provided at purchase. If temperatures are above or below the safe zone they will be held till they can be safely shipped. Someone must be available to receive the package on the first delivery attempt or any guarantee will be null and void. We cannot be held responsible for any shipping delays caused by unforeseen circumstances with FedEx delivery.
Shipping Address Must be Correct!
Order will ONLY be shipped to the address listed as the shipping address in your order. Please make sure the information you enter as the shipping address is entered correctly, and please make sure that is the address your order is supposed to ship to if it is not your home or place of business. We cannot be held responsible for deliveries made to the address you provided. Please take the time to double check that what you have entered is correct.
Shipping to a FedEx hub?
If you require a shipment to a FedEx hub, you must provide the address of the hub as your shipping address, along with instructions to have it held for customer pickup. We cannot ship to a FedEx hub without the address.
Orders Must Be Paid in Full Prior to Shipping. We do not ship orders before they have been paid in full.
