Store Policy
**As of 11/21, animals are only available for local pick up. I will begin shipping again in the spring. **
(My shipping season usually starts up again mid April to early May.)
Payment in advance is required for all orders.
I will only hold an animal with a minimum, non-refundable deposit of 25%.
Live arrival is guaranteed if terms of my policy are followed.
I also guarantee that the animal is feeding and healthy at the time of sale. I will not ship any animals that do not meet those conditions.
All animals have been sexed to the best of my ability and a minimum of three times prior to shipping.
I take pride in my animals.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns when you receive your animal; including if you want to discuss your new animal's housing / set-up. Ideally, prior to shipping, if you have questions, sending a quick photo of the enclosure you will be putting the animal in upon receipt would be best.
I am happy to share my thoughts on how an animal's temperament has been while in my care, but know they have not been handled regularly and temperament is not guaranteed. The stress from shipping, different set-ups, and household activity can also effect an animal's behavior. I am not responsible for any bites or injuries that may occur once an animal is in your possession.
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase. Many of the animals I work with are not beginner species and I expect that you have thoroughly researched the care requirements and if you have additional questions, that you ask prior to purchase for the sake of the animal's well-being.
I am a Fed Ex certified shipper. I currently ship on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only per recommendations given for shipping live animals. (I will not be shipping on the Tuesdays following a holiday, though; such as Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day or Columbus Day). Also due to current circumstances related to Covid and the influx in packages being shipped, all animals will be sent to the FedEx Ship Center nearest you. The package will be held for you to pick up during their business hours. It must be picked up the same day as arrival or the live arrival guarantee will be void. I can help you find which Fed Ex Ship Center location is closest to you. Know, it will need to be a Ship Center/hub. This is because not all FedEx locations will accept live animals. I will only ship when the temperatures in route are at least 40F and will not exceed 90F.
Local sales in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area are always welcome, too.
The safety of the animal is of the utmost importance. I will gladly hold any animal (with deposit/payment) until the weather conditions are safe for shipping.
In the event an animal arrives dead, I will need to be notified within 1 hour of the time of delivery/pick-up. I will provide you with a replacement animal if at all possible. Monetary reimbursement will be made only in the event a comparable animal is not available minus shipping costs. I reserve the right to request photo documentation on any/all DOAs.
Customer is responsible for all shipping costs unless otherwise noted. I charge a flat rate of $80 for shipping unless noted differently in an ad.
I accept payments through PayPal Goods and Services or ones made with a credit or debit card by sending you an invoice via email through my Square account (preferred). I can now also accept Cash App payments through Square.
Shipping will not take place until the payment has cleared.
I may consider payment plans on a case by case basis, for 30 - 60 days, but no animal will be shipped before paid in full. Upon receipt of the deposit, I will give the due date for the final payment. It is the buyer's responsibility to follow through. I will not send reminders or requests for payment. If payment in full is not received by the given due date, I will take the hold off the animal and it will be available for sale again. If the customer that put the deposit down originally is able to complete the purchase before someone else places a deposit on it or purchases it, I will apply the original deposit amount toward the price of the animal. If the animal is purchased by someone else, the original person understands that the deposit they put down is non-refundable.
I reserve the right to terminate any sale at any point prior to shipping at my discretion. If I choose to do so, any money received will be refunded in full.
Finally, know your laws.
As a buyer, you are responsible for any and all laws and / or permits which may be required to keep the animal you purchase in your state, county and city.
