As keepers and buyers of reptiles ourselves, our focus is on great customer service, timely communication, and healthy animals that are never wild caught!
Trades are on a case by case basis and we will not ship first. Payment plans available on a per case basis, willing to arrange in person pickup of snakes within the DMV.

Please be aware of your own local wildlife laws and regulations for the animal(s) you are purchasing. No shipments will be knowingly sent in violation of any state or federal laws. *We do not sell or ship Western hognose to CO or IA, and proof of permit is required for sales to IL and MO*
Succulent Hogs will do our best to sex your animal using several identification methods. On the rare occasion that misidentification of sex does happen, please reach out to us.
For all snakes, with the exception of recent hatchlings, have been batch tested at least twice for cryptosporidium serpentis using Research Associates Laboratory. If you want an individual test for your specific snake, after receiving a deposit, we are happy to oblige.
For snakes and geckos, we ship Priority Overnight with FedEx. For isopods, we can ship priority overnight upon request, if not we will use USPS Priority shipping.
If using home delivery, the buyer must be present to receive the package on the first delivery attempt or all guarantees are void. Live and visibly healthy arrival is only guaranteed when shipping temperatures at both ends are between 35° – 89°F for home delivery and 25F° – 99F° for having the animal shipped to a FedEx Ship Center for pick up.
We cannot be held responsible for shipping charges incurred for upholding our guarantee; they are the responsibility of the buyer.
All animals have a live and healthy arrival guarantee. No guarantee is offered after the live arrival. If your shipment arrives deceased, is visibly unhealthy, is damaged in any way or if there is any other issue with the order upon arrival, the customer must notify Succulent Hogs of the immediately upon receiving the shipment via email; [email protected]
If your animal does arrive DOA, we will work with you on resolving the issue. We may potentially ask for videos of the deceased snake and potentially ask for you to ship the deceased snake back to us. If you are unable to provide evidence or are unwilling to ship the snake back, there will be no refund or replacement.
We reserve the right to refuse a sale to any buyer, for any reason. No sales to minors. Proof of age may be required at our discretion.
Though we encourage our customers to take their animals to the vet, Succulent Hogs is not responsible for any veterinary expenses or costs incurred by the buyer, for any animal.
Photos and requests: The animals pictured on morph market reflect the exact animal shown, with the exception of isopods.
Trades are on a case-by-case basis, however, we will not ship first. We are interested in high-end hognoses, high-end/designer green tree pythons, and rare/exotic plants. Payment plans are available on a per-case basis. Payment plans will require a 25% non-refundable deposit, the timeline for the remainder of the payment can be discussed. Willing to arrange in-person pickup within the DMV.
