Store Policy

*Placing an order with us means you agree to all terms and conditions*

All animals are guaranteed to arrive alive so long as temps at departure city, sorting facility, and final destination are within the guidelines of the courier. Sales to the lower 48, Alaska, and some regions in Canada, and the EU are available. It is important to know that sales to Canada or the EU will have higher shipping costs due to fees for export beyond sellers control. The health of the animals is guaranteed for 30 days post sale. If after 30 days, any health issues whatsoever arise, Mountaineer Herps will not be held liable in way, shape, nor form and buyer assumes all risk and liability associated with purchase. This includes any trades, no exceptions.

Should temperatures be too high or low to safely ship (38F-90F) seller will hold animals until safe shipping weather returns at no additional cost with a non-refundable deposit, barring unexpected loss of animal while in seller’s possession. Buyer agrees that should they decide to not purchase the animal before shipping, or they fail to respond to seller’s messages to set up shipping dates and times they forfeit their deposit and seller may re-list the animal for sale at his discretion. While I’ve never had an issue, an unboxing video is required for refund on any DOAs. Further, all packages must be opened and reported to me as DOA with unboxing video within 2 hours of delivery time as reported by FedEx. Should a DOA be proven as shown, 100% of the costs of the animal and shipping charges will be refunded to buyer.

Payment plans are available, either 30 days or 45 days for the *purchase of animals at full asking price only*. I ask for a non-refundable 25% deposit on the animal with the full balance due within the agreed upon duration of the plan period. If not paid in full by the last day of the payment plan period, the seller will reach out and notify the buyer that their payment plan has expired and that they have 24 hours to reach out before any deposit or payments they have made are forfeit and the animal will be placed back on sale. Failure to respond within 24 hours will result in forfeiture of all funds and seller will reserve the right to not extend any further payment plans or business dealings with the buyer.

Payment is to be made in full prior to shipping via credit card, debit card, PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, or cash in the case of local sales. All animals are sold and shipped in apparent good health and are feeding. Due to the nature of hognose and egg eating snakes, no guarantee is given that they will feed for the buyer, although seller agrees to provide support in the event of non-feeders in the form of advice or return for exchange if possible, with shipping to be split between buyer and seller 50/50. After arrival no guarantee of health is given, sorry. Sexing is not 100% guaranteed, although seller is very confident of accuracy. By purchasing or placing a deposit on an animal the buyer is agreeing to these terms and conditions as stated.

TRADES: If you offer an animal in trade, Mountaineer Herps will consider your trade offer to be your payment for the animal in question. As such, all offered trades are to be shipped AND arrive safely before Mountaineer Herps will send out the agreed upon animal to the person offering the trade. NO EXCEPTIONS—you want to trade, you ship first. Period.
