About
We specialize in large constrictors, with an affinity for Reticulated and Burmese pythons. We also deal in many other types of snakes and lizards, such as Boas, Monitors and Skinks. Beyond that, we are purveyors of fine imported animals, too. We bring in a diverse, and sometimes rare, supply of reptiles!
Store Policy
Sales
You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase any animal from The Serpent Source (henceforth also referred to as “we” and “us”). All pricing listed is in USD and does not include shipping unless otherwise stated. We require correct billing information for any Credit/Debit transaction with us. We accept PayPal, Square and Cash (USD) as payment for any purchases. Payment in full is REQUIRED before any animal is shipped to the buyer. We do offer local pickup to those wanting to do so in the Southern Maryland/DC area.
Please be aware of any and all local, state, and federal regulations regarding animal ownership, as we will not be held liable or responsible for any failure to meet such regulations. We WILL NOT knowingly send any animal to a state in which they are not legal, so please do not ask.
Payment Plans
We do not typically offer payment plans unless it is for a larger purchase (i.e. $1,000.00 or more); however, we will entertain them on a case by case basis. ALL purchases involving a payment plan require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 50% of the total purchase price, with the remaining balance paid within 30 days or less (unless otherwise agreed upon in writing).
Returns
All of our animals are guaranteed to be healthy, correctly sexed, and accurately match any description given by us prior to shipping. We do not guarantee the temperament of any animal, unless otherwise specified and agreed upon prior to sale. We do not offer refunds due anything out of our control (i.e. decided you do not want the animal, waiting for appropriate shipping weather, placed a deposit and changed your mind, etc.). Any and all deposits towards an animal with The Serpent Source are 100% NON-REFUNDABLE - no exceptions!
Shipping
We ship via FedEx priority overnight delivery (10:30am delivery time in most zip codes). Once your shipment arrives, please open all shipping boxes and inspect all animals immediately. If you have any concerns regarding your order, you must notify us within 2 hours of the shipment being marked as “Delivered”. If we have not heard from you within 2 hours of you receiving your shipment then we will assume your transaction is complete and all responsibility is then transferred to the buyer.
In the unlikely event that an animal is DOA in your shipment, we will require proof of such. Please contact us immediately and do not dispose of the animal before contacting us. Any DOA animals will be replaced with any equal value animal if the buyer agrees, or a store credit will be issued.
