Store Policy
Guarantees.
We guarantee health, gender, and genetics unless other wise noted (see below).
We guarantee live arrival under normal shipping conditions, but you must pick up your animal within 2 hours of the package being available or the guarantee is void.
Genetics:
Concerning genetics, as most are aware it can be challenging at times to accurately identify certain co-dom/inc-dom genes, especially with ball pythons because of the sheer number of available genes/combinations. We will always do our very best to accurately state what we believe to be present, but if we are unsure we will note as much in the description, i.e., “poss OD, poss chocolate, etc., and adjust the price accordingly. Homozygous recessive genes and hets are always guaranteed, unless otherwise noted.
Shipping:
We are committed to getting your animals to you as quickly as possible, but we will only ship if we feel weather conditions are suitable and safe to do so. We typically consider this to be the case when temperatures are in the following range: 38°-90°F for the daily high, in the departure, destination and FedEx transfer location, respectively.
Shipping is done overnight through FedEx, M-W hub to hub only (held for pickup), for the safety of the animals. This is due to the additional risk factors associated with local deliveries (e.g., additional travel time, uncontrolled temperatures, handling concerns, packages being left in unsuitable areas, etc.). *If you have special circumstances that don’t allow you travel to a FedEx hub, please reach out and we can discuss further.
We pride ourselves on the attention to detail and great care we take when packaging our animals, and have never lost one during shipping. However, in the unlikely/unfortunate event of a DOA, you must contact us within 2 hours of delivery. Time of delivery will be established by the online tracking notification stamp provided by FedEx. We will require you to send photos of the actual animal and may ask for the animal to be returned. Failure to abide by these terms will void the live arrival guarantee.
We will always do everything we can to assist if there is a carrier delay, but we cannot be responsible for unpredictable carrier failures. Any adverse shipping outcomes that stem from a scenario that is out of our control such as an extreme/unanticipated weather event, COVID delays, carrier staffing or transportation issues, etc., will fall outside of our guarantee.
If entering into a payment plan with us (see Payment & Payment Plans, below), be aware that we WILL SHIP the animal(s) within one week of the date of payoff. No exceptions unless weather conditions or holiday delays are such that it is unsafe to do so.
Shipping costs will vary depending upon location. Please message us for an exact shipping quote.
Payment & Payment Plans:
We do offer payment plans on a case by case basis. If we enter into an agreement, a non-refundable deposit is required (typically 20%) with the remainder due in 30-60 days, depending on price. That said, if you have special circumstances, please feel free to reach out. We want you to have the snake you’re interested in and it’s very likely we can come to a arrangement that works for everyone.
All deposits and payments are non-refundable but are transferrable to another available animal. Any deviation from the agreed upon payment arrangement may result in the termination of the sale, at which time any payments made thus far can be utilized as credit with us for a another animal. We cannot hold an animal without a deposit or ship one until payment has been made in full. No cash refunds will be offered for any reason. All sales are final.
Please note: An additional vendor payment fee may apply if selecting a payment method that incurs such fees, i.e., credit card w/ Venmo/Cash App, PayPal G&S, etc. We will make sure this is communicated up front, with a breakdown showing the cost of the animal, shipping cost, and any vendor fees listed out individually. For your benefit, we always recommend selecting a method of payment that does not incur such fees.
Trades, Discounts & Offers:
Trades will be considered for quality ball pythons, reticulated pythons, hognose, and eastern indigos.
Discounts are typically available for multiple animal purchases (please inquire).
Reasonable offers will be considered.
All animals sold by Prodigy Pythons are produced by us, unless otherwise noted.
