It is Big D Exotics Ltd.’s goal that your experience in purchasing an animal is a positive one. I pride myself on promptly answering emails, texts and returning phone calls and treating everyone fairly and respectfully. All animals we sell are produced in our stand lone facility solely dedicated for that purpose. All animals are represented honestly and guaranteed to be 100% healthy at the time of delivery. We employ extremely strict quarantine procedures before any new animals are allowed within our facility and in doing so have maintained mite free and disease-free breeding stock for the past 18 years. Unboxing videos of new animals are not done within the confines of our building!
All animals are sold on a first come first served basis.
All efforts are made to properly sex animals, but please ensure that you sex your new animal upon receipt and notify us immediately with any concerns. It is the customers responsibility to learn about husbandry and ensure that they are aware of how to properly care for and house the animals they purchase. We will also be here to help should you require any tips or have any questions.
If you are unhappy with your animal, you must notify Big D Exotics Ltd within 24 hours of your purchase and arrangements will be made for a credit, exchange or other acceptable resolution. Animal must be shipped back at buyer’s expense and received in good condition before any resolution will be made.
Over the years I have produced a multitude of different morphs and combinations and pride myself on my ability to decipher what the genetic make up of an animal is. That being said in today’s day and age with the increased complexity and layering of gene combinations it has become increasingly difficult to know EXACTLY EVERY gene in a particular combo. For multiple Incomplete dominant/dominant gene combos I will provide my best educated guess but I cannot 100% guarantee every gene will be present. In some cases, potentially an animal will prove to have more genes present than what was advertised. All visual recessive and 100% heterozygous animals are 100% fully guaranteed.
In addition, animals by their nature will have varied temperaments and I cannot guarantee the behavior of each individual animal.
Methods of Payment
Big D Exotics Ltd currently accepts EMT (within Canada) for international orders wire transfers are preferred. PayPal as well as CC payment (through square app) is possible at Big D Exotics Ltd discretion. Animals must be paid in full prior to shipment.

Payment Plans are available on a case-by-case basis generally on purchases of $500 or more. Duration is typically 1-3 months in length depending on value and must have a mutually agreed duration (date) prior to sending deposit. Deposits are typically 20% of the animal’s value and are non refundable with the remaining balance being paid by the mutually agreed upon date. Failure to pay by the agreed upon date will result in the payment plan being cancelled and loss of non-refundable deposit. Please be 100% certain that you have the ability to purchase the animal when entering into a payment plan.
Package deals and discounts are always available and can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Domestic Shipping (Canada)
Within Canada we use Reptile Express (FedEx) and Air Canada Cargo. All animals will be packed properly in appropriate shipping boxes using hot or cold packs depending on current conditions. This is my 18th year of shipping animals without a DOA and I plan to do my very best to keep it that way!! We do provide a live arrival guarantee when shipped to main FEDEX hubs or Air Canada Cargo locations. We prefer that the animal(s) be shipped to a main FedEx Hub near your home and held for pick up. This way they do not end up being on a FedEx truck all day subject to a variety of unfavourable conditions or potential mishaps. If a customer insists on getting an animal shipped to their door, they assume the risks involved due to carrier error. Someone must be home for the duration of the day and correct address must be provided with name of person accepting the shipment. Shipping costs can vary please contact us for a quote. Pickups at FEDEX hubs and Air Canada Cargo locations must be done within 4 hours of arrival and boxes opened and animals inspected upon receipt. Any issues or concerns must be communicated to Big D Exotics Ltd immediately.
I do not ship animals during periods of extreme/inclement weather and use a common-sense approach. If the risk is too high, we wait until an appropriate shipping window opens up. The animal(s) ALWAYS come first.
Throughout the years we have shipped animals overseas and to the USA using our brokers who specialize in this service. Due to this there is a fee associated with shipping an animal across international borders and it does vary. Please contact us for up-to-date quotes. Also please be aware that this process does take time it is not an overnight service typically 1-3 months for paperwork and permits to be approved and animals shipped out. Brokers will receive and distribute the animals to customers once they have been inspected and cleared with USFW.

In the very unfortunate instance where an animal is DOA upon arrival Big D Exotics Ltd. must be notified within 2 hours of arrival time. Picture proof of DOA must be provided at which time a replacement animal or full refund will be provided. DOA claims will only be provided for shipments picked up at FedEx hubs or AC Cargo locations within 4 hours of the arrival time.
In an instance of a DOA to a shipment sent to a customer home Big D Exotics Ltd will evaluate the circumstances on a case-by-case basis. All such resolutions will be at Big D Exotics Ltd discretion.
