Steve at Geckos Etc was wonderful to work with. He was pleasant and quick to answer all the questions I had; highly transparent through the transaction. Both snakes that I purchase from him arrived safe and healthy regardless that they traveled from California all the way to their new home in Minnesota. I bought two other snakes from him a month ago at NARBC Tinley and had the same experience with him there in person which is what convinced me to shop with him again online. geckosetc replied: We were happy to work with you as well! Sorry to hear you were not satisfied with how your gecko was received. We always take a lot of care when shipping our animals. Your gecko was packed in a secure cup that was appropriate for a gecko of his size, as too large of a cup could lead to bruising or tail drop as they get moved around during the trip. Sorry to hear he pooped during shipping, but sometimes that is just their reaction to the stress of shipping. This should not be harmful and can be gently rinsed off after being taken out of the cup. Additionally, we evaluated temperatures in your area, our area and the main hub your gecko would be travelling through, and it was deemed a safe range. The shipment was delivered around 11AM which would have been around 80F at the time of delivery. You requested home delivery, so the box may have been a bit warmer inside than the outside temperature during their travels on the truck. However this was taken into account while preparing the box. - Mar. 23, 2026
