Description: This is your chance to get into the new project called the Grizzly gene. Founded by Chris Crawford of Inked Up Reptiles several years back, this is a proven incomplete dominant mutation with a wicked super form. So far, only 6 people in the US are working with this gene and we're making some really neat stuff! It can be hard to ID, but in some cases the Grizzly influence is easily seen.

This girl is from my favorite clutch so far from the Grizzly project. The pairing was BH YB Grizzly X Pastel Lesser Specter HGWG.

What we've noticed so far as far as diagnostic features of the Grizzly are closed up alien heads, dorsal striping, color enhancement and in many combos, a dramatic ontogenetic change resulting in even more dramatic coloration of the animal. This one looks quite a bit like mom, but with that Grizzly flavor! Check out those eye stripes with the speckles!

As with any new gene, buyer confidence is of the utmost importance. For whatever reason if I have misidentified the Grizzly gene and we find out later through either breeding or genetic shed testing that it wasn't present in the combo I will stand by the animal and do everything in my power to make it right. I will gladly provide a replacement animal whenever possible, and I'll be sure that anyone who decides to delve into this new project feels like they're supported in doing so for years to come.
The people working the Grizzly gene are a tightknit group and we all take care of each other. If you're considering investing in this project please reach out and I'll give you all the information and photos that I currently have at my disposal. It's going to be a ton of fun seeing this gene put into all different combos including the recessives which are still untapped with Grizzly and to see it at its full potential. The ball python industry could use a little new life right now and the Grizzly gene is the perfect thing to do it!
