Cold Blooded & Bizarre is a family owned exotic pet store, nonprofit reptile rescue, and oddity shop. We are located just a click outside of downtown Charlotte, in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood off of Central Ave! Our inventory includes hundreds captive bred reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. We also carry all the gear & supplies for proper care & husbandry.
Store Policy
STORE POLICY TERMS & CONDITIONS:
* Failure to read the terms and conditions, whether intentional or accidental will under no circumstances be a reason to consider them altered or void.
* No one under the age of 18yrs can purchase an animal without parental consent.
* All sales are final and returns (when applicable) will be for store credit only
* In some instances, if a refund is granted, a 15% cancellation fee may apply.
* We require proof of setup before animal is shipped.
* We reserve the right to refuse sale to any buyer, for any reason.
GUARANTEES:
* Cold Blooded & Bizarre guarantees live arrival.
* We also guarantee the animal to be visibly healthy, alert & eating.
* We also guarantee the animal to be accurately described and pictured unless otherwise stated.
* We guarantee genetics & gender when specified.
* No guarantees can be made after the animal is received and the 3 hour window has passed.
PAYMENTS & PAYMENT PLANS:
* We apologize but we do not currently accept Paypal, Zelle, Cash App or Venmo.
* We can send an invoice with a credit card link via email or take payment over the phone.
* Down Payments made are Non-Refundable and there will be no exceptions.
* Payment plans are unavailable for animals that are $200 or less and must be paid in full.
* Animals between $201 - $500 require a minimum 50% Down Payment
* Animals between $501 - $1000 require a minimum 35% Down Payment
* Animals between $1001 - $2000 require a minimum 30% Down Payment
* Animals between $2001 - $10,000 require a minimum 25% Down Payment
* Payment plans have a maximum 60 day for payoff and payments must be made at least every two weeks.
* Missed payments or abandonment will result in loss of hold and down payment funds.
SHIPPING:
* We ship Monday - Wednesday next day air weather permitting between 40-90°F
* If the package is not received on the 1st delivery attempt, all guarantees are void.
* All animals held for pickup must be picked up within 2 hours of arrival or all guarantees are void.
* Please be aware of your own local wildlife laws and regulations. No shipments will be knowingly sent in violation of any state or federal laws. Please do not even ask.
* Cold Blooded & Bizarre is not liable for any shipping carrier delays or shipping address errors due to customer negligence that result in DOA. Animals will not be left and will require a signature.
* If there are any issues with the animal after it arrived the buyer must notify us within the first 3 hours after delivery. We use tracking info to determine delivery time. No exceptions.
RETURNS:
* In the unlikely event of a DOA or the animal is thought to be unhealthy, the buyer must provide & meet the following criteria:
* Buyer must have reached out within 3 hours of animals being received.
* Buyer must provide photos of animal with packing slip/receipt visible with the DOA or health issue in question.
* Buyer will be responsible for shipping the animal back to Cold Blooded & Bizarre and all cost associated with doing so. We do not offer any credits or reimbursement for the shipping.
* Authorized refunds will be offered in the form of a replacement animal or equivalent credit towards animal(s) of your choice.
* CB&B is not responsible for any veterinary expenses or costs incurred by the buyer for any animal. If you take any animal to a veterinarian, you do so entirely at your own expense.
*In the unlikely event that one of our guarantees was not met, Cold Blooded & Bizarre will replace or exchange the animals up to equal value in the form of credit. No cash refunds will be authorized.
* Cold Blooded & Bizarre will require photos & proof that our guarantees were not met.
* All additional cost involved, such as shipping will again be the buyer’s responsibility.
* Photos, descriptions and care sheets posted on our web site are the exclusive property of Cold Blooded & Bizarre, and may not be used or reused without our specific, written permission.
* In accordance with FDA regulations, turtles and tortoises less than 4 inches listed on our web site are offered expressly for educational, scientific or export purposes only. They are not sold for use as pets.
