About
We are a small scale breeder and retailer currently operating out of Sacramento California. Our main focus for the time being is crested geckos (C. ciliatus), but we have breeding programs for Columbian boa constrictors, dart frogs, and leachies in the works.

TERMS OF SALE
By purchasing an animal from Opaline Exotics you are acknowledging that you have read, understand, and agree to the following conditions:
You must be of 18 years or older to purchase any goods or animal from Opaline Exotics. Valid form of Identification may be required to receive your shipment. We reserve the right to deny sale.
HOLDS: An animal can be reserved for no longer than fourteen 14 days with a deposit valued at 25% of the sale price or $50, whichever is greater. Animals paid in full will be held for 14 days of adequate shipping parameters at both shipping and receiving locations (poor shipping weather does NOT count against this period), at which point we will either ship the animal or the buyer will be issued a refund minus a 25% restocking fee and the animal will be made available for sale again.
PAYMENT PLANS: Opaline Exotics does not currently provide payment plans.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: Paypal is the only form of payment accepted at this time.
SHIPPING: We only ship to the contiguous United States of America. Opaline Exotics will not export any animals outside of the contiguous United States. Shipping prices currently vary according to your location; please contact us for an accurate shipping estimate. Opaline Exotics currently ships overnight through Ship Your Reptiles, this is non-negotiable. Geckos are only shipped when temperatures in both locations are between 40 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are local to the Sacramento or California bay area, an in person meeting may be arranged. This will be charged at one dollar per mile beyond 10 miles, to be charged no less than 48 hours prior to the meeting. Shipping method and location must be confirmed by both parties before payment is made. If you are having your animal shipped to you, you MUST be available to receive it. We cannot guarantee live arrival otherwise. Outbound shipping is available weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Dependent on the weather of arrival and departure, a hot or cold pack may be included. These are rated specifically for use with reptiles.
Upon receiving a shipped animal, we must receive confirmation that the animal is alive in no more than one hour after pick up, beyond one hour any live arrival guarantee is void. If the animal is deceased, video evidence must be provided. Opaline Exotics guarantees the health of our animals for 7 days after shipment. The health guarantee does not cover injuries sustained after shipping due to the buyer, incorrect care, or tail loss during transit. Should your animal be sick or die, we offer a credit of equal value to be used on any animal or products that we provide. If your animal is ill, timestamped video and/or photographic evidence must be provided, including but not limited to the animal, its (and others’ if applicable) enclosure, and conditions. Opaline Exotics is not responsible for delays or issues caused by the carrier, but we will do our best to have issues solved in a timely manner. If something goes wrong during the shipping process, contact us immediately and we will do what we can.
SEXING: Animals sexed as “male” or “female” are guaranteed as that sex. “Probable” males and females are our best interpretation of the developed variables or lack thereof. Please be aware that crested geckos are notorious for being difficult to sex prior to maturity/late juvenile age, and that it is not unheard of for a “probable” sexed gecko to flip before adulthood. “Probable male” indicates the presence of defined pores, which some females may also show and which some males lack until an older age.
GENETICS: Genetics are ALWAYS guaranteed for animals we have produced. Origin of our animals will be clearly stated. Crested geckos will have parent pictures in the comments when available.
Please note: for Mendelian genes, PH indicates a “possible heterozygous” followed by the percent possibility of that recessive allele being present in the animal. These animals are guaranteed to have that percent chance at the het, but NOT guaranteed to have that gene present. Proven animals listed as “pos het” will also have a description of what they produced and our interpretation based upon the available evidence of whether the animal is heterozygous for the aforementioned gene.
