Tar River Reptiles Terms of Service
• Failure to read our terms and conditions, whether intentional or accidental will under no circumstances be a reason to consider them altered or void.

• Tar River Reptiles reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time.


• In accordance with FDA regulations, turtles and tortoises less than 4 inches listed on our web site are offered expressly for educational, scientific or export purposes only. They are not sold for use as domestic pets.

• Please be aware of your own local wildlife laws and regulations. No shipments will be knowingly sent in violation of any state or federal laws. Asking us to knowingly break laws will result in the buyer being reported to the proper authorities.


• We reserve the right to refuse sale to any buyer, for any reason. Sorry, no sales to minors. Proof of age may be required at our discretion.

• All animals are feeding on frozen thawed (F/T) rodents unless otherwise stated.


• Reasonable offers are considered, but low-ball offers are deemed offensive and you will be ignored (likely permanently).

• Multi animal discounts are available and returning customers receive an extra 5% off their entire purchase.


• Payment plans require an initial 25% NON refundable deposit sent via PayPal friends/family or Venmo. This money is used towards the purchase price of the animal and is not an additional fee. Payment plans will not exceed 90 days unless special arrangements have been made.
o Deposits will only be refunded in the case that I can no longer provide the animal requested within the agreed upon timeframe.
o Failure to make timely payments (payment due dates will be discussed with each buyer) or follow the terms of the payment plan agreement will place the buyer in default. Failure to contact TRR within seven (7) days of defaulting on terms will result in termination of the payment plan. Monies that have been received, minus the non refundable deposit and any fees that have been incurred during the payment process, will be returned within 30 days.

• TRR ships live animals to your nearest FedEx hub via Overnight Priority through FEDEX.
o We only ship out Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s for next day arrival.
o Live arrival and the 24 hr wellness assurance is only guaranteed when shipping temperatures at both ends are between 30F° – 95F°
o Live arrival and a 24 hour wellness assurance is guaranteed for hub to hub shipments, animals must be picked up from FedEx the same day as they arrive for this guarantee to apply
o Upon arrival, we ask that you give the animal an overall inspection. If you notice anything is wrong please contact us immediately. If no contact has been made within 24 hours of arrival, we assume you are content with the animal(s) and we no longer take responsibility for them. If for some reason an animal arrives DOA a 10 second video will need to be provided to TRR for confirmation. We will walk you through the process of obtaining confirmation video.

• By placing a deposit or purchasing any animal(s) you are agreeing to our terms of service.
