As promised last week, we've now added Amphibian support!
There are 10 subcategories: Tree frogs, Dart frogs, Horned frogs, Bullfrogs, Other Frogs, Toads, Salamanders, Newts, Axolotls and Other Amphibians.
Didn’t we just add Invertebrates last week? That’s right, MorphMarket isn’t just for Reptiles anymore. And in 4 days 32 Invert breeders have created 126 ads. We couldn’t believe how fast that area has populated.
Please help us get this going by spreading the word online!
As a reminder, in the future we can elevate subcategories to be their own top level categories, like Axolotls or Toads, at which point they’d enjoy traits and other benefits. We have some other subcategories in the market which we need to revisit soon for exactly this purpose.
As we've added more categories and subcategories to the site, the category selection option has become a real pain to use. This option is in the advanced search as well as for sellers when they create, import or modify ads.
To see the full list of features only available through memberships (even in our developing markets), check out the items highlighted in blue on the pricing page. Make sure to hover over or tap items for more explanation.
MorphMarket is committed to providing the modern platform for reptile enthusiasts. As such our staff has been working hard behind the scenes to performing a major software upgrade to Python version 3 (the programming language), which has been rolled out today.
We have tested these changes to the best of our ability, but it's inevitable that there are a few more bugs to be squashed. Thanks for your patience if you encounter such an issue. We should be notified of any errors on our end and fixing them as fast as possible. If you a problem remaining for more than a day please let us know.
In recent weeks we’ve all been impacted by COVID-19 in one way or the other. Just like you, we’re concerned about the pandemic, and we are here to support our customers and the community.
At MorphMarket, our support team is no less available than before to help you with any issues or questions you have in the use of our marketplace. In fact we have recently added additional staff to improve our capabilities.
We've just rolled out an automatic process for managing unresponsive seller accounts. This is only applicable to the bottom 2% of our 2,000 sellers, who are not responding to a majority of their inquiries. (This is also in addition to the reminder emails which go out for inquiries several days after no response.)
After becoming unresponsive, the seller will get a private warning notice on their inventory page. This should be highly visible to them and is useful in case they are not seeing our emails for some reason.
After one week, they will be sent an email notice.
After two weeks, the ads will be automatically expired.
